SuperStar Smile - The same thing happened to me.

Ventura, California 0 comments

I returned item, they charged me 35% restocking fee, plus shipping.Said they refunded me $58.48....6 months later, I still haven't seen the refund.

Do not deal with this company. I have also worked with my bank, they refunded the amount to my account, then took it away because of the comments they received from Super Star Smile. Super smile company is a scam as far as I am concerned.

Don't have anything else to say, but I need to put 100 words for this posting. So, just writing in order to get this complaint posted.

SuperStar Smile Scammed Us! Unauthorized Charges

Covington, Georgia 4 comments

My husband, decided to try Superstar Smile teeth whitener. The product was not worth the money. When we tried to call and cancel, we were put on hold forever, so we sent an email cancelling.Well, guess what the product was sent anyway. We called them and they will not us a full refund.

The so called customer service person gave us 3 different refund prices, The first was $20.00, the second was $58.00 the third and final was $60.00 and we get to keep the product.BIG DEAL we don't want the product!!

I want my money back in full.Don't Buy From SUPERSTAR SMILES they are scammers!

I'm in the same boat. They said that their policy which you should read when you made the first purchase is that you have a ten day trial period in which to contact them whether or not you want to continue or they will assume that you are satisfied and want to receive more shipments.

I remember that one of the selling points was that there was no further obligation, but this was from a "satisfied customer", not the official "user agreement".

Maybe the "satisfied customers were also part of the scam.I bought this along with another teeth whitening system which has scammed many people the same way, and due to my negligent monitering of my bank statements, I have now 2 additional charges on the Dazzlin Smile account ($87.47 each) shoppers beware!

This is a total scam. This is NOT a trial period, but rather the small print says you agree to an annual membership.

The cost is $99/month. So, beware that about 30 days after you accept the trial product, your credit card will be charged for $99 and you will get another supply in the mail. I called to cancel my "membership" and had a very difficult time. Had to talk to a couple of different people.

I have not tried the product so I can't comment on it's worth, but you should know up front that the cost to this is $100/month.

Cost prohibitive for me.Beware .........

SuperStar Smile is a scam company!

Seattle, Washington 2 comments

I fell for the same "free" sample scam that others did. A "teacher" in my home town said how great the offer was. I went to the site and requested the "free" sample and the web site kept freezing up. None of the conditions EVER displayed. The "free sample showed up 10 days later and a month later I started seeing $99.92 debited from my account. I called and explained that I was never notified, nor offered the usual "I have read and understand the terms and conditions" check box.

The "service reps" were difficult to work with and unyielding. Told me that there was a $35 restocking fee which I fought to no avail. They gave me a return merchandise authorization number and told me that I would see a refund, less the 35% in 7-10 business days. 5 weeks later I hadn't received my refund. I called again and they told me that I was supposed to call, again, and tell them the product was shipped. Now my refund is 42% of the total charged.

I've been involved in the internet for 16 years as a business owner. Companies like this have no class or integrity and reflect badly on legitimate busionesses that do things the American way and honor their customers, and stand behind their products.

Super Star Smile, and Body Core, the comapny that ships the product should be ashamed.

Don't get caught up in this scam. That's exactly what it is!

It seems to me that people need to read the terms and conditions before they give their credit card information to a company. Why are you mad at them when you CHOSE to agree to this?

They gave you a free trial, exactly as their ad promised. They gave you a ten day return period, which you overlooked. Don't be angry at a business because you actually thought you could get something for nothing. If you had read what you said you had read and agreed with, then you would have received the trial, immediately canceled future shipments, and that would have been the end of it.

But you didn't. Apparently the only liars in these situations are those who said they read the terms and conditions but really didn't. Just stating the obvious. Guess it is human nature to blame everyone else but your own decisions and choices.

Hope you choose to take the time to read a contract before you agree to it.Better luck...actually...better decision making next time!

I signed up for a free trial and they debted my acct.for 99.00 and I just signed up for the free trial and only was suppose to pay for shipping.

Like $4.95 something like that. How is it they can now debit my account. I just found out that this will happen monthly. What a scam this is!

I can not afford to have you pull out $99.00 each month. How do I cancel this? and get erased from your membership.

I do not want to pay for this product monthly and never di!Please HELP ME!

I tried to call and no one answered.when they did answer, it was past the 10 days, my card was charged and the product was already shipped.

I returned the stuff, but rather than give a full refund, there was a $40 restocking fee. My credit card company cannot do anything to dispute the $40 that was not refunded. I'm filing a complaint with BBB.

This is such a SCAM.Oh BTW, the trial package took 7 days to arrive so the 10 day trial was over before i could even try it.

I'll tell my kids all the time there isn't any thing "free" in the world.

Yet I too thought it was a good deal and since it was a pop up on the Costco's web site it should be safe so I'll try it.

I just skiped over the terms and conditions and agreed to it. Jen G is totally right, read first before signing

Now I have to explaned the 3 payments of $99.00 to my wife and how $5.00 in shipping mushroomed to almost $300.00

I'm going to take Vicki's comment and cancel the auto payment and try to get some of my money back.

Thanks for everyone's comments

Call your credit card company to dispute the charge. Cancel your credit card and have a new one sent to you so charges will not longer be billed by this scam company. I'm sorry for your trouble!!

I had the same experience.Received the product.

On the third use my gums swelled and turned white. It took a whole week for them to return to normal. Unfortunately I called to cancel 2 days after the trial period. So i received another shipment and was charged $99.

When I called about returning the product, I was told there are no returns or refunds under any circumstances.Obviously they do not stand behind their product!!!!!

Consumers should be aware that just becuase they say they will give you 10 days to cancel what happends is if you order your product on Jan 1st, they wait until six or seven days before they ship your order out and the excuse is usually the same..."we have been backed up on orders" So when they ship your order out on Jan 8th, it's going to take several days for you to get it via U.S.

Postal Service. They've got you from the time you place your order. Unless you have a good 30 days for shipping and time to use the product I would not order any product regardless of the low price of $4.95 shipping cost. That's how they scam consumers who are unaware of this type of business practice.

They should be shut down by the proper authorities.

Problems is with that to happen they have to be breaking some type of law and it seems there is always some loop hole for these criminals to business owners to slide by without charges.BEWARE!!!

Well at least some of you received the free trial.I never got mine, and when I called, thats when they charged me for it.

I was even asked what kind of neighborhood I lived in. That is was my fault I didn't call them. That they were not responsible for the shipment. When I called back the secont time, they couldn't find my order, so they offered me a discount.

Please notice people they also have different phone numbers on which you can call them. Check out how different they treat the consumer. If you call the good line your taken care of, but if you call the other you lost your money. Scam!

Oh the second agent asked me to return the free trial after I get it.

It was mailed out that day.So whats the truth?

Super Star Smile most definitely IS a SCAM.I couldn't use the product because it made my teeth super sensitive.

I made the cancellation call in plenty of time, returned the package according to their instructions, and I have a confirmation delivery receipt from the post office that provides the DATE they RECEIVED IT ON July 12! I contacted my credit card company to ask if the $4.95 shiping charge is on my account. I was told it was -PLUS A $99.82 CHARGE AS WELL! I called SUPER STAR SMILE again, and was told they had NOT received my cancellation call or the returned kit.

When I told them I had a receipt with the SHIPMENT DATE ON IT, they said they would "cancel the autoship" (that was supposed to be cancelled WHEN CUSTOMERS CALL TO DO SO, AND RETURN THE KITS)! Yet, I was told that they could refund only $20 of the $99.82. If that's not a scam, I don't know what is. So I then called the fraud dept.

of my cc company, and am sending them all of the details with proof of all I did, ACCORDING TO SSS' INSTRUCTIONS!I assume all cc companies have a fraud dept.; so I hope the rest of you will contact yours...and TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT THE SuperStarSmile SCAM!

I called the 1-800 number and told them to cancel any further shipments. You can also call your bank and tell them to cancel autopay on this item.

There is usually a $10.00 charge but it's worth it.They did the same to me.

I oredered on 6/09/2010

Always read the fine print to see what you are getting into. They try to hide it or make it really small print, hoping people won't reat it and that's how they get away with what they do. I signed up for the tree trial and cancelled within 7 days so no charged were made to my account.

SuperStar Smile; debited my acct without authority

Stone Mountain, Georgia 8 comments

Superstar Smile, debited my acct in the amount of 99.90 without my authority.I sent in for a sample of the product and to pay just the 4.95 for shipping, they then in turn deducted the 99.90.

spoke with rep she stated I had to call in the cancel. I didn't order a subscribstion only the sample. spoke with another person he stated it would be a 35% restocking fee and I couldn't get all of my money back.

Is there anything that I could do to get my money back.I am so pissed.

They scammed me, they offered me a free trial and they did not send me the whole package, then they charged me 99.99 and they said it is a membership and I can't cancel it because I did not call them to cancel within 10 days, I had to scream at them for 35 minutes to be able to cancel the membership and they just agreed to refund $50 back to me, I am not sure if they will or not, they are bunch of crooks

I too was scammed!I cancelled my card also.

It is so upseting to have them take $100 for something I had only agreed to pay 4.95 for. They took the money at the same time my rent check was going through. I would never have agreed to this! I just wish I had found this page 1st.

Sorry to all of the people scammed. Has anyone gotton their money back?

If so how much?:sigh :cry :(

#168792

Be careful with this offer!!!It may result in a very costly trial!!!

If you do order it, remember to cancel the membership in 10 days, otherwise, you will end up paying $99.92.The experience is *** to me when dealing with this kind of scam company!

Anonymous
#167417

Yep, they are a scam!I was debited $99.92 & when I called to complain they basically said there was nothing I could do but I could get $50.00 of it back if I returned their product.

I don't think so. The odd thing is that the trail offer was debited by another company charge out of Brossard, LA, but they will not acknowledge any address or contact from there, yet $4.95 was debited from there. I asked if you still got the free trail if you did not agree to the terms & conditions & I was basically told no. That to me is not a free trail offer.

You have to call within 10 days to cancel which is in the fine print. What can be done?

Anonymous
#167416

I'm with you.I have been scammed also.

If the product had worked I think I could live with the $100.00 charge.

Did you also get a call from someone linked to their company a week or so later trying to subscribe me to something for $14.00?I I told them I was not interested and they never asked about the product.
